Dead-End Job

I mentioned in the last blog that I wanted to be a recording artist. I didn't mention that my day job has nothing to do with recording or music. I work at the business office of a hospital. I work at a desk all day. Ever seen Office Space? Yeah, I'm basically Peter Gibbons. Oh, and "the Bobs" came recently and recommended to the powers that be (basically Lumberg) that they fire some of the employees. So, there have been quite a few "resigns" and "moved on's" recently. I hope I'm not one of those.

I thought maybe I could play at Fry's Electronics. They've got a 9' grand piano. I've seen people playing it before, so maybe I could.

Someday

I want to be a recording artist someday...I mean, I want to be able to make a living out of it someday...someday soon...before I'm old and washed up. I will probably be washed up before I even have a music career. I very much enjoy playing guitar/piano and singing. I love recording and jamming with other people. It would be great if I could get a gig or two.
